Lieve leden,

Zoals ze in het Engels zeggen, you save the best for last en daarom ben ik blij dat ik over mijn mooie functie mag vertellen!

De naam verklapt het al, als commissaris intern ben je betrokken bij de zaken die zich binnen de vereniging afspelen. Makkelijker gezegd, jij zorgt voor de interne communicatie. Eén van de belangrijkste dingen daarin, is ervoor zorgen dat de leden (en anderen die bij de vereniging zijn betrokken, in samenwerking met de secretaris) op de hoogte zijn van wat de vereniging doet. 

Bekendmaking betekent promotie. Zo kan jij jouw creativiteit kwijt in het maken van posters, schrijven van teksten en het inrichten van de weekmail en instagram! Uiteraard doe je niet alles alleen en heb je een fantastische commissie om op te rekenen in de Promotie Commissie. Aangezien alle promotie uiteindelijk via jou verspreid wordt, ben jij de voorzitter van de PromoCie. Hiermee hou jij overzicht over de promotie en communiceer jij met de desbetreffende commissies over de promotie die gemaakt moet worden.

Deze interne communicatie uit zich ook in de weekmail en de Nieuwe Binding. Hier worden de leden overzichtelijk ingelicht over alle relevante evenementen en vacatures die de VCSVU te bieden heeft. Daarnaast worden via de Nieuwe Binding ook de ereleden, leden van verdienste, alumni, en de K.N.P.S.V. en haar afdelingen ingelicht over wat de vereniging afgelopen maand heeft meegemaakt en wat er in de nieuwe maand te wachten staat. 

Verder wordt de site ook onderhouden door de commissaris intern. Dit gebeurt dan ook in de breedste zin van het woord. Hier komt dan ook misschien wel mijn favoriete onderdeel bij kijken: het filteren en uploaden van de foto’s. Zelf kon ik als lid nooit wachten tot de foto’s eindelijk op de site kwamen, wat nu extra grappig is omdat ik ook alle bloopers achter de schermen kan zien! 

Als laatste ben ik erg betrokken bij alle commissies. Zo organiseer ik voor elke reguliere ALV (Algemene Leden Vergadering) de COV (Commissie Overleg VCSVU), om zo op de hoogte te blijven van elke commissie en ben ik dus ook het aanspreekpunt voor alle commissies. Daarnaast ben ik ook verantwoordelijk voor het maken van het Studie Actief Certificaat (SAC) en hou ik dus ook overzicht of deze punten juist worden toegekend.

Al met al is het een enorm leuke functie, al zeg ik het zelf. Uiteraard is een bestuursjaar meer dan alleen je functie, je doet het samen. Dear members,

As the saying goes, you save the best for last and that is why I am happy to tell you about my great function!

The name says it all, as commissioner of internal affairs, you are involved in the affairs within the association. More simply put, you take care of internal communication. One of the most important things in that, is making sure that members (and others involved in the association, in collaboration with the secretary) are aware of what the association is doing. 

Publicity means promotion. So you can use your creativity in making posters, writing texts and setting up the weekly email and instagram! Of course, you don't do everything alone and you have a fantastic committee to count on in the Promotion Committee. Since all promotion is ultimately distributed through you, you are the chair of the PromoCie. With this, you keep an overview of the promotion and communicate with the relevant committees about the promotion to be produced.

This internal communication also manifests itself in the weekly e-mail and the Nieuwe Binding. Here, members are clearly informed about all relevant events and vacancies VCSVU has to offer. In addition, through the New Binding, the honorary members, members of merit, alumni, and the K.N.P.S.V. and its departments are also informed about what the association has experienced during the past month and what awaits in the new month. 

Furthermore, the website is also maintained by the commissioner of internal affairs. This is therefore done in the broadest sense of the word. This is where perhaps my favourite part comes in: filtering and uploading the photos. As a member myself, I could never wait for the photos to finally appear on the site, which is now extra funny because I can also see all the behind-the-scenes bloopers! 

Finally, I am very much involved in all the committees. For instance, I organise the COV (Committee Consultation VCSVU) before every regular GMM (General Members' Meeting), in order to stay up to date with each committee and therefore I am also the contact point for all committees. In addition, I am also responsible for making the Study Active Certificate (SAC) and thus also keep track of whether these points are awarded correctly.

All in all, it's a hugely enjoyable function, if I do say so myself. Of course, a board year is more than just your function, you do it together.
